4. How do industrial refrigeration systems work?
Industrial refrigeration systems work on the same basic principles of all refrigeration equipment. The refrigerant travels through a compressor, condenser, and evaporator coils to remove heat from a given space.
Industrial systems commonly use ammonia as a refrigerant because it is more efficient and cost-effective for large refrigerating and chilling systems
5. What is the expected lifetime of an industrial refrigeration system?
According to ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers), an industrial refrigeration system can last 40 years or longer. They also recommend more companies consider ammonia systems due to the economics and efficiency.
